Egyptian Mau

Egyptian Mau cats are striking spotted domestic cats that resemble small wild cats. These cats are the only naturally spotted domestic breed and are believed to be descendants of African wild cats domesticated by ancient Egyptians. Egyptian Mau cats are known for their exceptional speed, vocal nature, and striking appearance.

Despite their small to medium size, Egyptian Mau cats are incredibly fast runners, capable of speeds up to 30 mph. These cats are muscular, athletic, and love to climb and explore. They form strong bonds with their families but can be reserved with strangers and take time to warm up to new people.

Egyptian Mau cats have short coats that require minimal grooming. These intelligent cats are highly vocal and will communicate frequently with their owners. They are active cats that need plenty of space, interactive toys, and opportunities for climbing and jumping.
